Maureen Boyd is

She has worked in politics, the media and government, including as a


- communications advisor and public policy analyst

- national political and current affairs reporter and host for television news

- senior political staffer

- special projects manager

  1. -event planner, organizer and fundraiser


In 2012, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal. She is a director of the Parliamentary Centre, vice-chair of the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, sits on the national board of HIPPY Canada and Friends of HIPPY Ottawa, and is on the organizing committee of Politics and the Pen. Previously she chaired three Ottawa Public Library Foundation literary evenings and two Dining With The Ambassadors fundraising dinners.
